18th annual Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards

The story of Canada is the story of immigrants coming to this land for freedom, opportunity and success. And the contributions that immigrants have made to building this country are undeniable. Canadian Immigrant, with the support of presenting sponsor Western Union and program part, is pleased to open the call for nominations for the Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards of 2026.
Now in its 18th year, the Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards, also supported by COSTI Immigrant Services, is the first and only national awards program celebrating immigrant success stories from coast to coast. Spotlighting immigrants who contribute to Canada’s economy, innovation, arts and communities, is an important way of bringing communities together.
Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized among the top immigrants in Canada?
A nominee can be anyone who has immigrated to Canada and has since contributed to the success and uplifting of this country and/or its people. Nominees must be aged 15 or older, hold landed immigrant (permanent resident) or citizen status in Canada, and reside in Canada.
Nominations are now open until  March 20, 2026, 11:59 EST.

Proudly Hispanic

The term Hispanic (Spanish: hispano or hispánico, Galician: hispánico, Asturian: hispanu, Basque: hispaniar, Catalan: hispà, hispàno) broadly refers to the people, nations, and cultures that have a historical link to Spain. It commonly applies to countries once colonized by the Spanish Empire in the Americas and Asia, particularly the countries of Latin America and the Philippines. It could be argued that the term should apply to all Spanish-speaking cultures or countries, as the historical roots of the word specifically pertain to the Iberian region. It is difficult to label a nation or culture with one term, such as Hispanic, as the ethnicity, customs, traditions, and art forms (music, literature, dress, culture, cuisine, and others) vary greatly by country and region. The Spanish language and Spanish culture are the main traditions.
Hispanic originally referred to the people of ancient Roman Hispania, which roughly comprised the Iberian Peninsula, including the contemporary states of Spain, Portugal, Andorra, and the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar.
